Totty Lowther
Her latest venture is a range of wallpapers......
Totty's first wallpaper design: Pomegranate, blends colour with the simplicity of block printing. She finds inspiration in the linings of old furniture drawers, leather trunks and patchwork quilts. She leans towards the historic fusion of Oriental textiles and patterns with European production which can be seen in her original Pomegranate wallpaper which is printed on parchment and grasscloth in two different scales, and available in seven colourways.
Totty has turned a woven fabric in the Queen Anne style: Queen Anne Squiggle , which was found adorning the walls of a Scottish castle, into a luxurious silken wallpaper. The original fabric design was embroidered in the 19th century in India for the European market. The wallpaper retains all the details of the fabric but in new, exciting colours. This is printed on parchment and silk effect wallpaper and will be available in four colourways.
